Nitros are beers that have nitrogen replacing much of the carbon dioxide for carbonation. This results in a smooth, creamy mouthfeel that is unmatched for many beer styles. Think Guinness. BARLEY'S FRESH DRAFT ALE Our hand crafted ales are delivered from our brewery directly to the bar just ten feet away. Do you want the born-on date in hours or minutes? Saint Joan's Revenge Imperial Stout an over-the-top Imperial stout. All the malty characteristics you'd expect in a RIS, along with double digit alcohol levels. We brew this one just once a year--the perfect complement to iffy weather Barley's Ali Ali Ale Scottish Ale This is our first wedding ale, brewed to commmemorate Scott Francis' son Alex's marriage to Ali. A maltier version of MacLenny's Scottish Ale, Think Bellhaven is to Ali Alit as MacLenny's is to McAndrews The Highland Hammer American IPA A copper colored ale that is actually our only blended ale. Equal parts IPA and Robert Burns Scottish Exprot Ale produce a maltier IPA than the norm. Full bodied, yet plenty of assertive hops. Plenty of citrus and floral assertiveness in front of a malty background. It's Hammer Time! Barley's Auric Ale Golden Ale Robert Burns Scottish Export Ale Scottish Ale A malty experience, meant to sip. Peated malt evokes the best of single malt whiskys. Come to think of it, that would be a sublime pairing...low beer warning... Alexander's Russian Imperial Stout Russian Imperial Stout This style was originally brewed in Great Britain for export to the Russian Imperial court. Heavy on rich malt, and backed up by a good hop presense, this one's one of our finest offerings. Gold medal winner twice at the Real Ale Festival in Chicago...low beer warning... Barley's Centennial IPA American IPA Originally brewed to commemorate our 100th batch, we now brew this one when we thirst for a big, big beer with good hop backbone. More malt, more hops, more alcohol. You demand it, we brew it MacLenny's Scottish Ale Scottish Ale a slightly malty, butterscotch colored ale. We carmelize the malt at the beginning of the brewing process, producing toffee-like undertones Barley's Pale Ale American Pale Ale well balanced and slightly fruity, this is our flagship ale. We use two-row English barley malt including both pale and crystal malts. We add three varieties of hops, including Kent Goldings, the variety that gives British malts their worldwide following |
