Barley's Brewing Company Ale House No. 1 is located in the North Market Historic District, nestled between the Short North and the Arena District, in the heart of Columbus' premiere entertainment area.

We opened our doors November 21, 1992 and since have become one of the nation's most recognized brewers of traditional style ales. Barley's Underground is housed below Ale House No. 1, featuring century-old stone walls and brick arches. The Underground can host up to 60 guests for a seated event and up to 140 guests for a standing room event and more casual gatherings.

The Underground is a perfect location to host any type of event; the late 1800's construction adds a uniqueness that cannot be found elsewhere. Originally used by Barley's as a live music venue, the Underground has since become a multi-use facility that is perfect for a variety of occasions.

We're finicky about everything that goes into Barley's selections. Pair our national award-winning ales with our unique menu offerings for an affair you won't soon forget. We brew our ales just ten barrels at a time, and include barley malt imported from the British Isles and hops for the Pacific Northwest, Europe and from around our planet.

We'll take the best we have to offer to make your event a success. Use the pages that follow to review the many options that out menus provide.
