2008
Barley's
Thirteenth Annual
Homebrewers' Competition

Greetings Homebrewer!

If you've been making great homebrew for awhile now, and everyone says that your beer is as good as, if not better, than the stuff you get in the store, you've come to the right place.

Here's your chance to enter your beer and your chance at fifteen minutes of fame. The brewer with the winning entry will get the chance to brew a full production batch of it at Barley's Brewing Company, Columbus, Ohio with two of the best brewers around: brewmaster Scott Francis and head brewer Angelo Signorino.

You just have to do a few things, and you're on your way to (fifteen minute) stardom. Or, if you're so inclined, extend your fame all the way to a career. Past winner Jay Wince is now co-owner (along with his wife Lori) of Weasel Boy Brewing Company in Zanesville.

Jay won our 2004 contest with his "Jay's Ain't Just Blowin' Smoke Porter. His full scale batch went on tap on June 21, 2005 at our Afternoon with the Brewers event. So, anything's possible.

If you're ready, here's what you do:

If you have any questions, you can ask Nina at The Winemaker's Shop, or Scott or Angelo, if you happen to see them around Barley's.

We can't wait to taste your (potentially) winning entry! Good luck (as if you'll need it with your awesome talents, technique and recipe!)

Cheers!
